Mount Vernon, Virginia

Meg and Mia, dressed up in colonial style.
Mia, Sadie and Meg.
Mark and Dan in Washington's back yard, in front of the beautiful view of the Potomac River.
In front of the house. It was here that George Washington spent the last few years of his life. His wife, Martha died only two years after her husband. They never had any children of their own, but when they married, Martha already had two children from her previous marriage. Washington, being the busy man that he was, wasn't able to spend much time at home, but the times he was there, were some of the happiest of his life. He and his wife were buried together on the grounds, and we were able to visit the tomb. On the wall, John 11: 25-26 was quoted.

We miss you already, Taylors!! Thanks for a fabulous time. Love, Dave & Jennie & Co.

Sadie, on the drive to New Jersey.
